Slow Down! Objects at Work (Start Remembering & Stop Inventing)
Chris Moody - Saturday 9/15 1:45pm-4:30pm -
AS220 Mainstage 115 Empire St, Providence, RI
Performing object work is as important to improv as speaking to your scene partner. In this workshop, we’ll make the objects work for us as an extension of our scene work. We’ll help you communicate to the audience and your scene partners what the heck you’re doing with your hands and why slowing the process down will make your actions more believable.
Chris has performed improv since 2009 having graduated Go Comedy's GoU program in 2011. He produces and is a board member of Improv Utopia, an adult improv camp located in Pennsylvania and California. He is a Founder of the Detroit Improv Festival and the Detroit Improv Collective, Inc.(DICo) a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to advancing the art of improvisational comedy in the metro Detroit area. Chris has been teaching improv classes at Gilda's Club Metro Detroit since 2012. He performs regularly with The League of Pointless Improvisers at Pointless Brewery & Theater in Ann Arbor and with his duo Consolation Fries and troupe Holiday Road at festivals around North America.
